No doubt you have probably noticed the new ‘clothes’ we have been trying on for our blog appearance. It is like shopping for a new outfit. First you go to the high-end designer store to see what is in style and then you go to the big chains to actually purchase your new ‘faux-designer’ ware. So we tried on a few styles :
• The tekky-horror… the type of outfit you would wear only once to a party where nobody would remember what you wore the next day, anyway (thankfully).
• The feel-good-new age-chiffon-fru-fru… comfortable, but a little too synonymous with middle aged women in purple mu-mus. (I can poke fun at this group because I fit into this demographic… although I don’t own a purple mu-mu.)
• The busy-biz-bountiful-blue-button… only was lacking the power-bow blouse for that unmistakable corporate clone look.
After admiring our options in the floor length mirror, lit by the overly bright internet changing room neon, (not being able to miss the fact that we needed to shed a few pounds…) we settled on the look you are seeing now. We like to think of it as cool, comfortable, not too constraining, not too distracting, but an enjoyable suit of clothing. It’s a pleasant background for us to share what’s going on in our minds… philosophical and otherwise!

So where have you been?
Well, so much for my regular blog postings! All good intentions. Yes? Things have been very busy and you can say I have been taking that ‘collapsed wave potential’ (as seen illustrated in the chair illustration above) and forced it all into a new ‘particle reality’! Just a little quantum reality talk for you all…
In between several trips to New York seeing to the care of someone close to me who has suffered a traumatic brain injury, I have been working. I have created a lot of work for my website
www.kimberlywickham.com and set up another gallery at www.yessy.com/kimberlywickham . The Yessy site is strictly for Artwork but my main site covers my books, artwork and lots of other stuff! This has been a challenging time. Dealing with such a serious issue while trying to get my work out there and available to the world has required a new level of concentration I had not previously known I possessed. Adversity always allows you the opportunity to demonstrate (at least to yourself) exactly what you are made of!
These days I continue to add new work to my site and offer Giclee prints, cards, T-shirts with some of the images from my books along with lots of other images. For you story lovers, you’ll be happy to know, book #3 is out, and I’m also in the process of outlining the 4th book in my children’s series – so perhaps we will see it available late next year… unless I get too busy painting to write it!

Unfortunately my next book, Angels, Horses and Other Worldly Lessons will be coming out a little later than expected. It looks like in June 2009 well see it in print, at last. It’s hard to tell what really happens with these things. The publishing world remains a mystery to me, even after three published books!
